Course Overview:
This course aims to equip entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs with the necessary legal and corporate knowledge required to make informed business decisions. The course will encompass five chapters that will provide an overview of the legalities involved in the start-up life cycle.
The module is designed specifically to help entrepreneurs navigate the corporate /legal regime of Nepal. It consists of succinct theoretical lessons on formation of legal entity, intellectual property rights and protection, compliance with corporate laws and employment laws and tax. The course will also include case-studies and role-play activities to ensure that learners use the relevant knowledge in solving plausible legal problems a business might face. Throughout the course, the learners will be made to solve hypothetical legal problems, understand how to make sense of legal jargon and legal documents, and interact with practicing lawyers on their current legal issues.

1) Mr. Krishna Pal, Legal Analyst at MeroAdda
Advocate Krishna Pal has five years of experience in practicing corporate law. He is currently pursuing Masters Degree in Business Law in Purbanchal University. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (BA LLB) from Purbanchal University. He is working as a Legal Analyst at MeroAdda. Krishna Pal aspires to be a solid legal support to businesses for them to flourish.
2) Ms. Rakshya Singh, Advocate
Advocate Rakshya Singh is pursuing L.L.M in Human Rights and Gender Justice from Purbanchal University. She has been working at MeroAdda since 2020. Miss Singh is a B.A.LL.B graduate in Business Law from Purbanchal University. Rakshya is interested in the gender and human rights aspects of the business.
3) Ms. Shreya Joshi, Chief Legal Officer at MeroAdda
Advocate Shreya Joshi completed BBM LLB from Kathmandu University School of Law. She is currently working as a Chief Legal Officer at MeroAdda. She has been engaged in coaching social entrepreneurs, students, and businesses on different legal aspects of doing business in Nepal.
