Competition Overview
Glocal After School (venture of Glocal Pvt Ltd) in collaboration with Kathmandu World School is organizing a competition named “School Life Through My Eyes”. The “School Life Through My Eyes” is a creative competition where SEE students can creatively share their unique perspective and insights on their school life through various formats, such as essay writing, video submissions or artwork. The goal of the competition is to inspire students to think creatively, to communicate their ideas, and to share their personal experiences. The students can showcase their creativity and highlight the unique aspects of their school life. Students can also talk about how they overcame difficulties, made new friends, and succeeded.
An experienced jury will judge the contest, judging the submissions on their originality, creativity, and relevance to the competition’s topic. The competition’s social media channels will post the names of the winners.
Interested participants who are SEE students can submit their original works via email or website in the specified format by the deadline. Top 3 best entries will be selected as the winners who will be facilitated by Cash Prize and Scholarships from KWS along with certificates.
Competition Format
The “School Life Through My Eyes” competition will be open to all SEE students. Participants can choose to express themselves through different formats, including:
Participants can submit an essay of up to 1000 words sharing their unique perspective on their school life, including their daily routine, friends, teachers, and overall experience.
Participants can submit a video of up to 5 minutes, sharing their school journey through interviews, footage of their school life, or other creative ways of expressing themselves.
Participants can submit artwork, such as drawings, paintings, or photographs, that represents their school journey and reflects their unique perspective.
Competition Guidelines
The following guidelines will apply to all submissions
1. All submissions must be original works created by the participant.
2. Submissions must be sent via form or email in the specified format by the deadline.
3. Submissions must be accompanied by a brief description of the participant’s work, explaining the inspiration
behind it.
4. Participants are free to express themselves in any language they feel comfortable with.
Why to Participate in Competition?
This competition gives the students an opportunity to showcase their creativity and share their experiences in their school life.
It helps students develop their creativity and think outside the box. It’s a great way for students to convey their emotions in a healthy space and allow them to reflect on how they are feeling.
This will help students gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the impact their school experience had on their personality, skills and values.
Evaluation Criteria
The submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
1. Creativity and Originality
2. Clarity and Coherence
3. Relevance to the Theme “School Life Through My Eyes”.
4. Overall Impact.
The top three entries will be selected as winners, and the following prizes will be awarded for each category of the competition
i.e. Essay Writing, Video Submissions and Artwork.
Winners must pass the KWS entrance exam in order to receive the tuition discount.
As well all participants will receive a certificate of participation for their efforts.
