Why Mover’s Workshop on The World We Want?

Workshop Overview:

It is a 2-hours fun and interactive workshop that consists of a series of activities such as facilitated group and plenary discussions, self-reflection exercises and role-plays, that is being organized to Understand and empathize with the priorities of other youth from various backgrounds, relating it with the values of UNDP’s core values and mission. It will also highlight the current and future priorities of youth in the Asia Pacific.

Know your Trainer:

Mr. Sanif Kandel is an 18-year-old Youth Activist from Rupandehi. He is actively working in the sector of Youth Leadership and Environment Sustainability. He has already been involved in different youth-led organizations to educate young people about Sustainable Development Goals and aware of the increased need for Climate Action and working together with young minds in creating a space for youth leadership. His interest in the social sector led him to join ‘We’ for Change and currently working as an Executive member (2019-2021).
He is also serving as a Council Member at ‘Nepal Teen Leaders’ and as Executive Board Member of ‘Rescue Wing International’, volunteering as an Outreach Volunteer in ‘Global Changemakers’, Switzerland, and as an Ambassador in ‘Earth Strategy’. He is also into his dream project ‘Pocket, My First Dustbin’ with the aim to aware young people, waste management, clean environment and but help them to make a behavioral change to decrease the rampant plastic pollution.

Mr. Prajesh Khanal, an environmentalist and child rights advocate from Nepal, is a GTH Alumni (Glocal’s 20 Under 20, 2017). He has been actively engaged in developing SDGs awareness, entrepreneurial mindsets, and 21st-century skills by conducting localized training at a grassroots level as a volunteer Movers Facilitator. With 8+ years of experience working for and with young people, he is currently leading an initiative to connect youths of South Asia – the SAARC Youth Council. He has been recognized as Global Peace Ambassador by Global Peace Chain and is a trained Climate Reality Leader by Climate Reality Project. He is a Youth Empowerment in Climate Action Platform (YECAP) Fellow, of the first cohort. Prajesh is a student of Computer Engineering and is also a Member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG). He has been active in amplifying youth leadership by encouraging and facilitating more young people to come forward as leaders for achieving global goals.
