Why Mover’s Workshop on Climate Action – Level 2?

Workshop Overview:

It is a 2-hours interactive and participatory workshop organized to Dive deeper into the causes and consequences of climate change. It will also relate more at a personal and collective level, actions that can be taken, and this session will also make you understand the global framework to prevent dangerous climate change.

Mover’s Workshop is initiated by UNDP Youth Co: Lab to create a community of volunteers who can take action by organizing Movers Workshop. The workshop aims to inspire and guide young people across Nepal to take positive action against climate change. The module is designed with a train-the-trainer methodology, so after attending this workshop, you can conduct similar workshops with your community members too!

Know your Trainer:

Mr. Sagar Koirala is an SDG 13, Climate Change and Youth Activist based in Nepal. He has been advocating for Climate Action and Agenda 2030 since past few years. Winner of Hidden Eco Hero award, Sagar is an aspiring entrepreneur and an agriculture graduate.

Ms. Lamia Mohsin is currently working as a Junior Consultant at the Resilience and Inclusive Growth Cluster, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Bangladesh. As a young researcher and youth activist, she has conducted various summits and workshops on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) in University of Dhaka and Chittagong. Apart from working as a research associate at Think Twice Act Wise, a voluntary youth organization conducting various national and international projects targeting the youth population, she is the co-founder of Chinnomulder Pashe Amra (Standing up For the Underprivileged), a youth-driven voluntary organization that is working on areas such as social inclusion, reduced inequalities and access to education, especially for underprivileged children.
